Loyalty software with a ceiling on how well you are allowed to do

Smile.io prices by monthly orders, LoyaltyLion caps its $199 entry plan at 500. Priced against Loyalora at $59 once, with two vendors that publish no price at all.

Loyalty software is priced by how much business you do. That is the whole model, and it is stated plainly on the pricing pages — the plan you need is chosen by your own order volume.

Which means a good month is also a more expensive one.

What the vendors publish

Smile.io — read 2026-09-03 and again 2026-10-12. Essential **$15 a month, billed monthly**, Standard $79 and Growth $199 the same way, Plus $999 a month on annual billing, Enterprise on request; a free tier covers **200 monthly orders**. The meter is orders per month.

LoyaltyLion — read 2026-09-03 and again 2026-10-12. Classic **$199 a month, including 500 orders per month**; Advanced and Plus are quote-only. Two hundred dollars a month, and the entry plan still caps the orders it covers.

Loyverse — read 2026-09-03 and again 2026-10-12: the loyalty program is free, bundled with the point of sale, with optional add-ons priced per store or per employee. Note that the add-on figure was observed in different currencies on different reads, so **no converted number is printed here** — the free bundling is the fact worth having.

Square Loyalty — read 2026-09-03 and again 2026-10-12: no public price, verified. The product page offers a 30-day trial, a sales contact and "one plan for your entire business", and no figure.

What Loyalora is

A points register with no stored balance. A balance is the sum of the entries, computed on every read, because a stored total starts lying the first time anything fails between writing the entry and updating the total. Entries are never edited or deleted — a correction is a new, opposite entry with a reason — so the register can always answer why is it this number by replaying itself.

That is the property you want when a customer is standing at the counter disputing their points.

Who should stay where they are

Stay with Smile.io if you run a Shopify or BigCommerce store and need the loyalty widget embedded in the storefront, awarding points automatically on orders. Stay with LoyaltyLion if you need loyalty emails firing through Klaviyo and a done-for-you branded page. Stay with Loyverse if you want a till, inventory and loyalty in one free hosted account. Stay with Square if you need points attaching to a card tender at the till.

Loyalora is a counter-side register: no point of sale, no inventory, no payments, and **no marketing email of any kind, by design.**
