Every vendor in this comparison wants to replace your cash box with a card. That is a legitimate and often better answer — and it is a different product from the one this guide is about.
Cashora is a ledger for the cash box you are going to keep anyway.
What the vendors publish
Ramp — read 2026-09-03 and again 2026-10-12. An AI-assisted tier free at "$0/mo/user"; Plus is $15 per user a month plus a platform fee scaled to team size, with a 20% saving on annual billing; enterprise quoted. The platform fee is not quantified on the page, so the $15 is a component of the bill rather than the bill.
Pleo — read 2026-09-26 and again 2026-10-12. Start **£8 per user a month**, monthly billing only, one admin; Build £12 per user a month billed yearly (£14 monthly) and Optimise £16 (£18), both with a three-user minimum. The Starter and Essential plans of the 2026-09-03 read (Essential at £45 a month) are gone. Per user, in sterling, and left in sterling here.
Soldo — read 2026-09-26 and again 2026-10-12. Standard £27 per month + VAT (1 wallet, 3 users, 3 cards, up to 20 outbound transfers a month); Plus £39 per month + VAT. Both rose after the 2026-09-03 read. Metered by wallets and cards, not by spend.
The arithmetic, labeled as arithmetic
Published figure × 60 months, currency as published, and with the caveat that Ramp's total cannot be completed from its own page.
| published | five years | |
|---|---|---|
| Pleo Start | £8/user/month | published in sterling — not converted |
| Soldo Standard | £27/month + VAT | sterling, and before VAT |
| Ramp Plus | $15/user + an unquantified platform fee | not calculable from the page |
| Cashora | — | $59, once |
Not one of the three can be given an honest dollar total from its own page: two publish in sterling, and the third does not quantify the platform fee it adds to the per-user rate. That is the finding, not a gap in this guide.
What Cashora is
An imprest float: a fixed sum, categorized disbursements, and a reconciliation that has to come back to the float. It is the paper petty-cash book, kept honestly, with the arithmetic done for you.
It handles no money. It moves nothing, issues no card, and touches no bank.
Who should stay where they are
Stay with Ramp if you want the cash replaced by cards and the bank rails, approvals and receipt capture that ride on them. Stay with Soldo for the same reason — those are regulated payment services and Cashora is not one and will never be one.
If the cash box is going away entirely, buy a card platform. If it is staying — and in a great many small businesses it is — this is a $59 ledger for it.
