How we counted: Basic carries a $28/mo platform fee before any units are counted; Essential is $48/mo + $20/unit and Complete $86/mo + $58/unit, so the bill climbs with the portfolio. Re-read 2026-09-07, every figure unchanged - and one note about the page rather than the price: its Monthly/Annual switch sits under "Save up to 20% with annual billing", yet at one unit the cards showed the same figures in BOTH positions.

Questions about moving off Hemlane.

Do tenants need accounts?

No. Each lease gets a private link; tenants bookmark it, see their own balance and ledger, and submit maintenance requests. You can rotate or kill any link instantly.

Does Rentara collect rent online?

Only if you switch it on, and only through your own Stripe account: the tenant pays on Stripe's page from their private link, and Rentara records the payment when Stripe confirms it. Otherwise you record payments as they arrive.

I already installed 1.0 — do I lose data?

No. Drop the new files over the old install (keep config.php and data/); the database upgrades itself in place on the next page load. Existing leases stay on manual billing until you enable auto-billing per lease, so nothing back-posts by surprise.

Will this run on my hosting?

Almost certainly. Rentara needs PHP 8.1+ with PDO — present on virtually all cPanel/Plesk hosts — and either MySQL or SQLite. Installation is a two-minute web installer.
