How their pricing grows. ClubExpress meters by MEMBER and puts a floor under it: growing the roll raises the bill on every renewal, and shrinking it stops at the minimum hosting fee.

Who should stay with ClubExpress. Stay with ClubExpress if you want the club website, event registration and payment processing hosted together. Membora is the register and the meeting — who is in good standing, whether a meeting was quorate, whether a motion carried — with your bank left as your bank.
How we counted. The $24 is the vendor's own stated minimum: below about 57 members the per-member rate is under the floor, so the floor is what a small club pays; above it the bill grows with the roll. Re-read 2026-09-26: the secondary-member rate falls with the band (20¢, 18¢, 16¢, 14¢) rather than 20¢ throughout as recorded on 2026-09-03. Those lines and the minimum fee are in the served HTML; the rendered page drew only the per-member rates. Membora is $59 once, no minimum.

How we counted. The smallest published band — 100 contacts — at the monthly price, which is the one a club can walk away from. Every band above it costs more for the same features. Membora is $59 once, for any number of members.

How their pricing grows. Join It meters TWICE: a monthly fee, and a percentage of every membership payment your members make — and the way to pay a smaller percentage is to pay a bigger monthly fee.

Who should stay with Join It. Stay with Join It if you want members to sign up and pay through Join It's own payment processing. Membora takes dues by card only through your own Stripe account, when you switch it on, and otherwise records what was paid and derives standing from it.
How we counted. The Starter monthly price. The subscription is only half the meter — a percentage of every subscription payment goes to the vendor as well, and buying a higher tier is how you reduce it. Membora records what was paid and takes no percentage of anything.

Why owning beats renting here.
No per-month, per-seat or per-location fees: the license does not expire.
Your data sits on a server you choose; customer records are not held in a vendor's cloud unless you put them there.
Records, users and usage are limited by your hosting, not by a pricing tier.
It keeps working if the vendor doesn't: no one can switch your copy off, and keeping it up to date is in your hands.
