The self-hosted Fleetio alternative
Fleetora — Self-Hosted Vehicle & Fleet Register: Expiries, Servicing, Defects — Self-hosted fleet register: every document expiry and every service due across the fleet in one ranked list, bought once. Own it once, run it on your own server, and stop paying Fleetio every month.
Stop renting Fleetio
4 months of Fleetio equals this one-time price.
Assumption: Per vehicle, per month. The $20/mo figure is 5 vehicles x $4 on Essential annual - the exact configuration Fleetio's own footnote says its displayed prices assume ("a fleet with 5 assets subscribing to an Essential 5, Professional 5, or Premium 5 annual plan band"). A 25-vehicle fleet multiplies out to $100/mo on the same rate, but Fleetio warns that is a band and not a quote. Fleetora is bought once, for any fleet size.
How Fleetio pricing grows with you
Fleetio's displayed price is a band rather than a bill - what you actually pay depends on the plan, the size of the fleet, the contract term and the payment term, and the advertised per-vehicle rates assume a five-asset annual band.

What Fleetio does that we don't
Fleetio ships native iOS and Android apps, so drivers and technicians can work from a phone in the yard rather than at a desk.
“You can install our mobile apps on modern iOS or Android devices to use Fleetio on-the-go.” — their own page
Who should stay with Fleetio
If you need work orders, parts inventory, a telematics feed, or native apps that keep working out of signal, stay with Fleetio - Fleetora has no work orders and no parts inventory, and its phone install is a web app whose pages are network-only, so it is useless without a connection. Full honest limitations are on the product page.
Why owning beats renting Fleetio
- One payment. No monthly, per-seat, or per-location fees — the license is perpetual.
- Your data stays on your server. It never lives in Fleetio's cloud.
- No plan ceilings. Records and users are limited by your hosting, not a pricing tier.
- It keeps working if the vendor doesn't. Self-hosted software can't be sunset or price-hiked out from under you.
Fair trade-offs: you host it, back it up, and apply updates yourself — see the product page for honest limitations, and the full Fleetora — Self-Hosted Vehicle & Fleet Register: Expiries, Servicing, Defects vs Fleetio comparison.
