The problem it solves
Equipment inspections are found out the expensive way. The extinguisher service was due in March, the calibration certificate for the gauge lapsed at some point nobody can name, and the first anyone hears of it is the audit.
The register that fixes this is small: every asset, every inspection type that applies to it, and the date the last one was done.

What you get
Every asset down the side, every inspection type across the top, each cell coloured in date / due soon / overdue / never done — and hatched where an inspection does not apply to that class of asset. Click a cell to record an inspection without leaving the board.
You set the interval; the next due date comes from the last inspection. Nothing stores an is-overdue flag that could go stale between a cron that did not run and the screen somebody is reading.
An asset that has never been inspected is not the same as one that lapsed, and neither is the same as one where the inspection does not apply. Three states, because they are three different problems.
What was last done to this asset, by whom, when, with the certificate attached. The board answers what is due; the logbook answers what happened — and a warranty claim rests on the second one.
Calibration certificates and inspection reports attach to the inspection they evidence. PDF or image, sniffed by magic bytes and re-checked by the controller that serves it.
Book a round of inspections, record the results as you go, and every asset in it gets its own logbook entry — rather than the same date typed forty times.
A read-only .ics URL puts every upcoming due date into Outlook, Google Calendar or Apple Calendar and keeps itself current. Revocable, because the link is the credential.
The 3.1 wave gave the catalogue a way to reach the other side of the transaction: counterparty email through your own SMTP server, calendar feeds your own calendar subscribes to, attachments filed where the paperwork belongs, and export presets other people's software imports. Every outbound path ships switched off, runs on your own credentials, and can never break the thing that triggered it. This app gained no new outbound path in 3.1 — its pass rewrote the honest-limitations list against the shipped code instead, which is the more useful change when the product was already complete.

Which licence do I need?
It comes down to how many installations you need. Running your own business on one site is the Single licence. Building or running sites for other people — a second domain of your own, or an installation a client keeps — is the Extended licence.

Nothing stops. You hold the full PHP source, it runs on your own server, and the software does not phone home — there is no licence check that can fail and no cloud that can be switched off. LICENSE.txt ships inside the zip, so your right to keep running it never depended on this site existing.

Questions about Inspectora
Is this a CMMS?
No. There is no work-order workflow, no parts inventory and no maintenance planning. It is the register of what is due and what was done — the questions an audit asks. Fixora is the CMMS in this catalogue.
Does it perform or certify inspections?
No. It records that an inspection happened, who did it, and holds the certificate. The inspection itself is done by whoever is competent to do it.
Can inspectors log in and file their own results?
No self-service login for the people named on records. Staff who administer the register have accounts, roles and 2FA.
If I change an interval, do past records change?
No. Changing the interval affects what is due next; it does not rewrite the history already on file.
How does it differ from Trainora?
Same engine, different subject. Trainora tracks people against competencies; Inspectora tracks assets against inspection types. The matrix logic is one code path proved twice, and each product speaks its own vocabulary throughout.
